  1. Professor Alan Fersht says:

Alex guided us on two bird watching trips: a day around the Barcelona region and then a two day visit to the Pyrenees. Alex is very knowledgeable and friendly, and also makes you feel that he is enjoying it as much you looking for birds. We highly recommend him, especially as he also keeps down the costs.

I was lucky enough to bird with Alex in 2014 around Barcelona. He is very knowledgeable about the local birds, and the local area. One of our fond memories is the picnic lunch he brought, delicious! If I am ever lucky enough to be back in Barcelona, I will go birding with him again!

  3. Roy McGrath says:

Roy & Marguerite McGrath are from South Africa and birded the area North of Barcelona as well as the foothills of the Pyrenees. It was an awesome 2 days over which we added many lifers and got some great photos. I would highly recommend Alex as a bird guide and he was also a great companion over the 2 days.

  4. Geoff Mullett says:

A day birding with Alex was the highlight of a few days my wife and I spent in Barcelona. We managed to spend time at Llobregat Delta and El Garraf, with a superb rustic picnic lunch between the two. Alex has researched his chosen patches well and knows just where particular species should be.
Will certainly book another trip if we are in the area.

  5. I have birded with Alex on two occasions. In November of 2013 we spent a day at the Llobregat Delta when a cruise that I was on had a Barcelona stop. Despite poor weather I was able to add some sought after species like Great Bittern and Penduline-Tit. In November 2016 we spent two days prior to a conference that I was attending in Barcelona. Together we birded the fields and lakes around Lleida, then to the Spanish Pyrenees. We saw almost 92 species on this trip, and I added highly coveted birds like Pin-tailed Sandgrouse, Little Bustard, Stone Curlew, Lammergeier, and Wallcreeper. His knowledge of local sites is exceptional, as are his eye and ear ID skills. I would highly recommend Alex for any birding in the Catalan region.

I can give Alex my very best recommandation. Alex has guide me on a 2 day trip to the area around
Leida and to the Pyrenees and day trip to Ebre Delta.
Alex knowledge of local sites and of birds is extraordinary good, and he is very friendly and the best companion of all guides you can come across.
